The American Baccarat Table Layout
It is easy to mistake an American baccarat table for a blackjack table since they both would have the same colors on the layout. Those who have played blackjack will find that the American baccarat table will seem like two blackjack tables put together.
An American baccarat table will usually have three sections. The centerpiece is to be the posts of the casino employees. The left and right ends of the table are designated for players. The entire table will hold up to 14 players though there'll be times when there will fewer players. The layout on the left and right ends of an American baccarat table will be identical.
We'll begin examining the layout of our American baccarat table starting from the center. As stated earlier, you'll have all three casino employees at this part of the layout. One side will be cut in a semi-circle and the other side will be in a box-like cut. The caller or croupier will be stationed on the side cut in a semi-circle and opposite him will be the two dealers.
Right in front of the dealers you'll find boxes with designated numbers for each player on the American baccarat table. Note the absence of the number 13 as a designation for one of the players. Instead, you'll have numbers from one to fifteen without the number 13 on the center and on the layout for the players.
The boxes in the center or croupier area of the layout will be used to track how much commission each player would owe. Each dealer will serve players on their corresponding sides of the table layout. They will be in charge of paying you your winnings and collecting your wagers when you lose.
The tip box will also be located at the center of the American baccarat table. Along with it will be the discard tray and the drop box. Now let's move on to the player's side of the layout. Since both sides will be identical you should expect the layout to be the same whichever side you choose to sit on.
The player's side of the American baccarat table layout will be arranged in a semi-circle fashion. You'll find the number designation for the players. The area for the banker, player, and tie bets will be printed on that part of the layout.
That's how simple an American baccarat table layout will be. Other baccarat tables will definitely have some sort of resemblance with this one.
